Idea Napkin No. 2
1. I am a sophomore at UF and I am very involved on campus including Greek Life and multiple business clubs. I am a dancer and before coming to the University of Florida, I actually competed in dance. Although I did not continue at school by joining a dane team here, I still do some things on my own. I see this business playing a big role in my life as it relates to not only my life but many because majority of the world today revolves their lives around social media.
2. I will create a guide of specific required questions that each social media platform must follow when someone is creating an account. The questions that I will ask will be less personal as to prevent private information from being exposed or stolen.
3. I am offering it to all social media platforms as a form of security for the people using theses social media sites.
4. They care because if they do not start to implement this people will become more scared of data privacy invasion and therefore stop using their site or app, further hurting them.
5. As a college student, I believe I have more experience in the field of social media compared to someone maybe in their 50's. I believe I can use my experience to prevent data privacy violation from occurring and make more people feel safer when providing certain information to these platforms.

ReplyDeleteHi Samantha! Great post, I see a lot of synergy among what you are learning, your background, and your business idea! My suggestion is that you think even harder about your unique talents and abilities, and you can even incorporate feedback from your closest friends and family from our other assignment! I think that identifying more traits and human capital that you have will allow you to focus even more on the right refined idea.
ReplyDeleteHello, great post! I believe that through providing some background information on yourself, that you were able to explain why this idea is important to you. More so, I believe that explaining why this product would be important to other people displays why people would care about this product. Essentially, I feel as though this product would be beneficial to various people, essentially anyone who would be looking for some extra security. Overall, excellent post!

ReplyDeleteThis is a really good and succinct idea napkin, I like the inclusion of your social media experience and the comparative idea to someone older. I know a lot of older people struggle with keeping their digital lives secure, and this kind of product could greatly simplify the process for them. I also agree there is some kind of imperative action that needs to be taken by social media companies to address this problem, not just for older people, but for everyone. Thank you for sharing!
