Create a Customer Avatar
My avatar is a 50 year old woman with two teenage girls, both at a college level. She works full time as an interior designer and when not at works she spends her days shopping with her sisters or getting coffee with her friends at the local coffee shop. She spends her nights on the couch with a glass of wine and watches her favorite shows with her husband. She uses social media often to not only see her daughters posts but also her friends; as a way to catch up with old friends she has not seen in a while.
The avatar and I have the use of social media in common. I do not believe this is a coincidence because social media is widely used across the world today and there are many different platforms available.

ReplyDeleteNice avatar, she reminds me of my aunt. I too have the social media usage in common with your avatar, and for the same reason that you stated. It seems that almost everyone I have ever had this conversation with says that they use social media for the same reasons as well. That being said, you created a great prototypical customer.
Hi Samantha! I also included a picture of my avatar, but I noticed that the photo that downloaded was a bit different than what I created.. Did that happen to you too? I thought your description was great! I can really picture her enjoying a glass of wine on the couch on a Sunday evening. I definitely see her living in the suburbs and driving a big SUV!

More so, I found it interesting as to how you two are connected. Also, I believe that you covered a great amount of information on your avatar as if you were describing a real person you had met. ReplyDeleteI love the type of consumer that you have detailed. I feel as though most people use social media to simply catch up with old friends. Not necessarily young people, but older people certainly use it to keep up with their children and the friends that they have not seen in a long time. This woman is not different.
