My Entrepreneurship Story

This past summer I was exposed to entrepreneurship when I began working at a local boutique called ZANNZA Couture. ZANNZA Couture is an international wholesale clothing company with their warehouse located in New York. I had many responsibilities for both the local store and the international aspect. Within the store my job was to organize the clothes along the racks while also making sure the customers were able to find everything okay. With regards to the international part of this company, I was in charge of taking orders via phone and email as well as shipping out each order. My job was also to add new inventory to both the website and the catalog for that specific season’s line. Working for such a large company and doing such a wide array of tasks, I was able to learn more about the industry, what it is like to be an entrepreneur and make decisions on the career path I would like to take.

I decided to enroll in ENT3003 because I feel that this class will broaden my horizons regarding business and teach me aspects of entrepreneurship that I am unaware of. I hope to get more information on this part of the business world and get an idea of where I want to take my career post graduation.

  1. Hi Samantha! I really enjoyed reading your entrepreneurship story! It was just a little hard to read because of the way it read horizontally on the page. To fix that edit your blog post and select all your text, from there, you will click the button that read 'Tx,' and then it should go back to normal! I hope this helps! Great Job!!

  2. Hey Samantha! Your entrepreneurship story was really interesting to read. I think that working for a company as big as this one is a perfect way to gain insight on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur yourself. I also have worked for such companies in the past that have helped me gain valuable skills. Maybe after taking this course you can combine your knowledge with what you’ve already learned from ZANNZA and become the best entrepreneur you can be!

  3. Samantha,

Your entrepreneurship story was very fun to read, and inspires me to do the same one day. Working for a clothing company seems like it would be really fun and is something I would be proud to tell other people about. I imagine it would have been somewhat challenging dealing with customers trying to find an item they like. I have only had one opportunity to work for a large company, and I must say I preferred it far more as opposed to smaller businesses. Larger companies often do afford you a wider range of tasks, and more experience. Thank you for your blog post and I look forward to reading more!
